Microsoft Windows 7 allows you to add Bluetooth devices to your computer so long as your computer has a Bluetooth antenna integrated or attached to it. This capability lets you exchange files between your phone or other Bluetooth devices and your computer, store phonebooks and use features with your computer. To add a Bluetooth device, you must learn how to access the Bluetooth-adding window from the control panel.

      Click your "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."

      Click "Hardware and Sound" and click "Bluetooth Devices." If you don't see "Hardware and Sound," scroll down to "Bluetooth Devices" and click the icon.

      Click the "Add" icon as soon as you see it. The "Add Bluetooth Device" wizard searches for any Bluetooth device within range of the Bluetooth receiver and allows you to configure the device for your computer.

Tips & Warnings

  • To add a Bluetooth printer, just go from "Hardware and Sound" to "Devices and Printers" and click "Add a Printer" near the top of the window.
