How to Modify a G37 Navigation

Save

The G37 navigation system comes factory installed on Infiniti vehicles. This system comes with real-time traffic updates, voice activation, a 9GB hard drive and rearview camera. Another name for modifying your navigation system is a software upgrade. The NAVTEQ website offers software upgrades for your navigation system. Once you purchase the appropriate upgrade, you can install it quickly and simply into your vehicle.

Things You'll Need

  • DVD disc
  • Open a Web browser. Navigate to the Navigation website (see Resources). Click the "Buy Now" box labeled "Infiniti Buyers."

  • Click your Infiniti's model and year, on the left side of the page. It will display the latest maps for your vehicle.

  • Click "Add to Cart" next to the map you want. Click "Check Out" when ready. Enter your shipping and billing information. Pay for the software with a credit card or debit card. The DVD will arrive through in the mail.

  • Enter your vehicle. Turn on the ignition and place it in "Park." Remove the old DVD from your navigation system, if it is a used car.

  • Place the new DVD in your navigation system. It will automatically update to the latest software.
