Location of the Remote Receiver on a PT Cruiser

The remote receiver on a Chrysler PT Cruiser is part of the keyless entry system. This component is designed to receive the signal from the keyless entry remote. The remote receiver recognizes the coded radio signal from the remote -- and actuates the door locks or trunk - when buttons are pressed on the keyless remote. A faulty remote receiver renders the keyless entry system inoperable. New remote receivers are available from certified Chrysler dealerships.
