How to Read "The Hunger Games" Online

"The Hunger Games" is the first novel in the best-selling young adult series by Suzanne Collins. Katniss, a teenage girl, lives in a post-apocalyptic world loosely based on the United States, where regions must pay tribute to the capital state as a cost for waging civil war. Unfortunately, the annual tribute consists of two children from each region who fight to the death on live TV. The story follows Katniss' selection for the Hunger Games, her will to survive the brutal tournament and the friends she makes in the process. To decide if this trilogy is for you, read the first chapter of the Hunger Games online for free.

Instructions

1. Go to Amazon (see Resources) and type "Hunger Games" in the search box at the top of the screen.

2. Click on "Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins in the search results. Amazon will display the "Hunger Games" product page.

3. Click the "Read first chapter FREE" button in the green "Kindle Edition" box on the right-side of the screen. Amazon opens the first chapter in a new window on your computer.

4. Read the first chapter online. If you enjoy the story, purchase the remaining chapters in Kindle electronic format for a price cheaper than the paperback version. If you purchase "The Hunger Games" in Kindle format, you'll select which device you would like to read it on. You can read it directly on your Mac or PC computer, Kindle, iPhone, iPad, Android or BlackBerry. The Kindle version of "The Hunger Games" syncs between your devices.
