How to Qualify for a Chase Student Credit Card

The Chase Plus One student credit card is a MasterCard specifically designed for students attending an accredited college or university. Students earn points for purchases made with the card, points that they can use in the Chase Plus One store. To qualify for the Chase Plus One student credit card, you need to meet certain basic credit and educational requirements and have a Facebook account.

1. Have a credit history that is clear of bankruptcy.

2. Have a credit history that is free of major delinquencies.

3. Have a Facebook account.

4. Enroll in an accredited college or university.

Tips & Warnings

• A credit history is not required to qualify for the Chase Plus One student credit card. However, most students with derogatory credit histories will not qualify.

• Although the Chase application asks the student to list any employment and income on the application, income and employment are not a requirement to qualify for the Chase Plus One student credit card.

• Co-signers are not allowed with the Chase Plus One student credit card.

• Although current enrollment in an accredited college or university is a basic requirement of the Chase Plus One, it is possible to qualify for the card regardless of full- or part-time status, year of college and grade-point average.
