How to Update Palm OS in a PDA

You may need to update the software on PDA devices running Palm OS.

On occasion, Palm will release new versions of its mobile operating system in order to provide users with new features or bug fixes. If you have a Palm smart phone or a PDA with network capabilities, you can download new updates from the Internet and install them on your device. Before updating your Palm PDA, you should sync it with your computer to back up all the data on your device.

Instructions

1. Make sure your Palm PDA or smart phone has a strong network signal. The software update will download faster if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network instead of 3G.

2. Turn on your Palm device and go to the "Updates" application.

3. Wait for the "System Update" window to appear.

4. Tap the "Download Now" button.

5. Tap "Install Now" when the Palm OS update finishes downloading.

6. Wait for the device to finish installing the Palm OS update.

7. Tap "Done" after the phone restarts to complete the update process.
