How to Glue Glitter to Stockings

Embellish a stocking with white glue and glitter.

Stockings are made from several materials, including felt and polyester, and are used to gather Santa's gifts on Christmas Eve. Decorating these holiday decorations will allow children and adults the opportunity to personalize their stockings. Several materials, from markers and yarn to beads and glitter, can be used to make these stockings ready for the big night. Glitter is attached to stockings with glue to create a border, add shapes or write the person's name.

Things You'll Need

• Paper bag
• White glue
• Glitter

Instructions

1. Lay the stocking flat onto a paper bag. This makes cleaning up after the project less messy.

2. Draw a design onto the stocking with white glue. The design can be anything from a person's name to the outline of a snow flake or a reindeer.

3. Sprinkle the glitter over the design. Use a generous amount to completely cover the white glue.

4. Allow the glue to dry for two to three minutes. Shake the stocking over the paper bag to remove the excess glitter.

5. Dispose of the paper bag.
