How to Find the Market Value for Old Rusty Trucks
Selling old trucks can be used as a source of extra income or simply a way to get rid of an unwanted vehicle. Whatever your motivations, determining the value of the truck is the first thing you will need to do. Figuring out the truck's maker, model and year will help you pinpoint how much it is worth. From there you can decide whether to try and restore it, sell it as is or simply have it hauled away to a junkyard.

Search the truck for any discernible signs of its make, model and the year it was built. These are the best determinants of what your truck is currently valued at. Take pictures of the truck from several angles to document both it's frame and the shape it is in.

Rate your truck's condition as either "good", "fair" or "poor" and write this down. Also write down more specific impressions of the truck such as what areas are in the best and worst shape, whether or not the engine block is still in it, and the condition of the interior.

Find a local vintage car expert and invite them over to take a look at your truck. They will be able to give you a much more accurate assessment of your truck's overall condition, its current value and its potential value after restoration.
