How to Make Coins From Sculpey Clay

How to Make Coins From Sculpey Clay thumbnail
Toy coins can be used as a costume accessory.

If you are teaching children about the value of money and how to add and subtract different types of coins, make the lesson more interactive by using actual coins. Take it one step further by helping the children make their own fake coins out of a polymer clay, such as Sculpey. This hands-on activity will get children excited to learn about different coins and their values.

Things You'll Need

  • Sculpey polymer clay
  • Rolling pin
  • Coins, various types
