How to Install Java Applications on a Blackberry

The BlackBerry operating system uses the Java platform and has the ability to run Java applications on its devices. Java applications are built on the Java scripting language and allow developers to create highly interactive and graphical applications. There are many Java applications on the BlackBerry App World website available for download and installation on BlackBerry devices. To install a Java application on your BlackBerry, your computer must have the BlackBerry Desktop Manager program installed.

Instructions

1. Launch a Web browser, then go to the BlackBerry App World website. Navigate to the Java application you want to install, then click the "Download" button. Save the file on your computer.

2. Connect the BlackBerry to a computer. The BlackBerry Desktop Manager application will open.

3. Double-click the downloaded Java application file. The installation wizard opens. Follow the instructions from the wizard. Accept the Java application's license terms and sync the BlackBerry with the Desktop Manager when prompted. Click the "Close" button when the installation has completed.
