Instructions

    • 1

Fold a piece of cardstock in half; if you are mailing the card in an existing envelope, cut the cardstock to fit after folding.

    • 2

Choose an interesting image or images from the selection of recycled or vintage postcards, magazines or holiday cards. Include themed images such as houses in the snow, birthday cakes or the recipient's favorite animals.

    • 3

Cut carefully around the image. Use a craft knife or razor blade if the detail is too small for scissors.

    • 4

Apply glue to the back of the collaged image, then firmly press it down onto the front face of the cardstock.

    • 5

Wait for the glue to dry, then embellish the image by tracing over outlines, adding stars or other details with the metallic pen.

Tips & Warnings

  • Continue the motif by cutting out similar images and gluing them inside of the card near your personal message.

  • Try drawing words using craft glue, then shake glitter onto it when it is still wet for a 3-D card.
