How to Scan Legal Documents with PaperPort

PaperPort Professional is a scanning and document archival program. It scans documents of all types, including multi-page documents. PaperPort can be customized to scan as much of a page as you specify. You can also connect multiple pages with PaperPort.

Instructions

      Click "Start > All Programs > PaperPort Professional > PaperPort."

      Click "Scan Settings" to bring up the scanner page. Click "Display scanner dialog box." This will enable the settings to customize your scan.

      Insert your legal document into the scan. If it is multiple pages, then insert the first page.

      Click "Preview." Wait for the scan to be previewed. Resize the borders so that all of it has been scanned. Click "Scan."

      Click "Scan Other Side" if you have multiple pages. Flip the document over or insert page two and click "Scan." You can now edit the settings on the left to enter the legal document's details for filing.
