How to Play Tic-Tac-Toe

Anyone can play this simple game.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Pencils
• Notebook Papers

1. Draw a large # on a piece of paper.
2. Choose which player will be represented by X and which by O.
3. Let player X go first. He or she may put an X in any of the nine sections of the grid.
4. Have player O go next.
5. Alternate until either there are three in a row of one symbol or the grid is filled and no one has won.
6. Let the winner be X next time.

Tips & Warnings

• The center space is arguably the best one to get first.
• Starting in an outside middle square can be a bad move if you have a clever opponent.
• It's said to be a "cat's game" when no one wins.
