Photo Booth is a simple software application for taking photos and videos with an Apple OS X iSight camera. Though it requires deleting the software entirely, disabling Photo Booth is simple and can be done with just a few clicks and drags of the mouse.

  1. Disabling Photo Booth

      Open the folder called "Applications" and locate Photo Booth.

      Click and drag Photo Booth into the trash can on your desktop, or, right-click the Photo Booth icon and select "Move to trash."

      Empty the computer's "trash." Photo Booth is now uninstalled.

Tips & Warnings

  • Reinstalling Photo Booth is simple: Just click and drag it from your software install disc that came with your Mac, or visit the link in Resources to download a copy.

  • As of this writing it was not possible to use parental controls or system preferences to disable Photo Booth; uninstalling the software is the only option.
