Save

Included in the Office suite of productivity products, Microsoft Word 2007 helps you view, create and make changes to print-formatted documents such as letters, resumes, envelopes, forms and brochures. If you have an Internet connection, the program also gives you access to hundreds of highly specialized templates, including several that can generate an outline for a legal pleading document. Once you know where to find these templates, preparing a legal pleading in Word 2007 becomes a very quick task.

Things You'll Need

  • Microsoft Word 2007
  • Internet connection
  • Click the round "Office" button in the top-left corner of the window and select "New."

  • Select the "Forms" tab.

  • Click the "Legal Forms" link.

  • Single-click the name of your preferred template (for example, "Pleading form with 28 lines").

  • Click the "Download" button near the bottom-right corner of the window. The pre-formatted pleading document appears on your screen within a few seconds.

  • Single-click on the name of a pre-populated field (for example, "Names of attorneys") to clear the placeholder data and replace it with text specific to your document.
