How to Reset a Refurbished BlackBerry

Buying a refurbished BlackBerry allows you to obtain a pre-owned phone in good condition for a low price. A refurbished phone may contain data from the previous user, personal data that shouldn't be shared and is taking up valuable space on the new owner's phone. The solution is to wipe the BlackBerry to reset the phone to its factory default settings.

Instructions

1. Click "Options" on the refurbished BlackBerry home screen.

2. Click "Security."

3. Click "Security Wipe."

4. Click the box next to "Email, Contacts, Etc." Click the box next to "User Installed Applications." Click the box next to "Media Card."

5. Type "blackberry" when prompted.

6. Click "Wipe."
