How to Find Movies on the Internet

You can enjoy a long list of free movies on the Internet.

Your selection of online movies is much larger than in the past, and many websites even offer free movies. While newer movies are harder to find on free sites, older titles are readily available. A few online pay options can bring you newer titles or even allow you to order them delivered to your home. Some online sources provide you with valuable research tools to find to locate the title of your choice or to track the career of your favorite actors or directors.

1. Navigate to the IMDB.com website, and type any information that you have on the movie you are looking for in the search engine. The Internet Movie Database is a powerful tool for researching movies, actors and directors. Minimal information can help you find the title for which you are searching. Additionally, you can search for specific actors or directors and receive an accurate summation of their entertainment career. IMDB has a large selection of movies available for you to watch without cost if you are a Comcast subscriber.

2. Log into Hulu.com, and click on the "Movies" tab at the top of the screen. Select the "Browse Movies" tab near the top of the screen. Browse through the movie titles until you find the movie you would like to see. Click on it to start the movie. Hulu offers television shows and documentaries as well as a large selection of free movies. Hover your mouse pointer over the movie titles to receive an in-depth description of the movie and the date it was released.

3. Subscribe to Netflix. Netflix.com offers a large supply of movies online, through your video game console or through a special Netflix receiver that you can order from the company. Your selection through Netflix is one of the largest on the Internet and available instantly through your computer. Newer movies are available only through a waiting list, but all-new releases are difficult to track down through online sources. Netflix does require that you pay a small monthly fee for its services; however, this fee is far less than the cost of purchasing new movies.

4. Check Amazon for harder-to-find or newer titles that are unavailable through free sources. Amazon's selection is extensive, and the company offers overnight shipping for a slight fee. Used movies are also available through Amazon. It also offers advanced purchasing for upcoming new releases.
