Problems Removing AVG
While most basic software applications are easily removed by running an uninstaller utility or manually deleting the program folder, programs that are more complex will install components that must run continuously. This is especially true for security programs such as AVG. When you install the AVG security program, the application will bind to several system components in your operating system. Additionally, the program has built-in protection that prevents other applications from tampering with its files. When you try to remove AVG through conventional methods, the uninstall process will often fail and you could be prompted with errors that relate to the inability to overwrite existing files.
