How to Enable a Dell 600M S-Video Laptop to an RCA Television

S-video cable plugs can connect a Dell laptop to a TV.

Dell laptops, including the Inspiron 600M series, are equipped with an S-video socket on the back for connecting a television, such as an RCA model. Using a standard S-video cable and a hotkey combination on the laptop keyboard, the Dell switches video output from the built-in LCD screen to the connected RCA TV. Instructions

1. Plug in the S-video cable from the socket on the back of the Dell to the matching socket on the back of the RCA TV.

2. Turn on the Dell and the RCA.
