How to Convert a DRM WMA to MP3 With Freeware
You can convert a DRM WMA (Digital Rights Management Windows Media Audio) file to an MP3 by using Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is a free audio program that comes installed on all Windows computers. It is also the default audio program for playback of WMA files. In order to convert a DRM WMA to MP3 you must first burn it to a CD. Once burned to a CD, you can rip the DRM WMA from the CD and convert it to MP3.

Open Windows Media Player.

Click "Burn" and drag the DRM WMA that you want to convert to MP3 into the "Burn List."

Click "Start Burn" and insert a blank CD-R into your computer. Wait until the CD has finished burning.

Click "Rip Settings." From the "Rip Settings" menu, select "Format" and choose "MP3." Doing so will determine what audio format the CD is ripped to.

Click "Rip CD" and your DRM WMA will be ripped from the CD and converted to MP3. You have now successfully converted DRM WMA to MP3 with freeware.
