How to Print First Class Postage
The convenience of printing postage at home saves time over standing in line at the post office. Unfortunately the post office does not have an option for purchasing first-class postage online through the U.S. Postal Service website. But you can go through third-party vendors for your first-class postage printing needs. Most vendors require a monthly fee; others offer alternate payment options. Whichever method you choose, you'll soon be able to print out legal postage from your home computer.

Go to PayPal's website. PayPal allows you to print first-class postage and does not charge a monthly fee.

Create an account if you don't already have one set up. Follow the instructions on a new account setup. You will be required to enter your name, address and phone number.

Navigate to the "Ship Now" page and enter all required information. Under "Service Type," select "First-Class Mail Parcel."

Click "Continue" at the bottom of the screen to confirm your order and pay for your postage.

Print out your label either on special label paper or on plain paper that can be taped to your package. LabelUniverse.com makes a label specifically designed for printing USPS postage from eBay and PayPal (part number LUEBAYSLW10). This paper uses a peel-off label with the exact dimensions that eBay and PayPal use, along with a peel-off receipt for tracking.

Select your shipment class for your new printer and click "Check Out." The shipment class will determine how quickly your new postage printer arrives and what shipping costs you will owe.

Start printing postage as soon as your printer arrives; it comes with the materials you will need. Add more postage to your unit as necessary. The machine rental is $19.99 per month.
