How to Copy Photos & Insert Them Into an Email thumbnail
You can send images to many people from one email.

Copying photos from an online source to insert into an email is a way of showing an image without downloading it to your computer and attaching it to the email for the recipient to download also. Inserting the picture directly to the email is useful for newsletters and other methods of email promotion and information.

Instructions

    • 1

Search for the photo you require in a search engine. Search via an image search engine such as Google Images (see Resources), which is more efficient than a web-only search.

    • 2

Go to the source website from the image search. Right click the photo and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu.

    • 3

Open a new message in your email.

    • 4

Right-click the area in the email that you want to insert the photo, and select "Paste" from the drop-down menu.

    • 5

The image will appear in your email. Write your message in the email below the picture and send as normal.

Tips & Warnings

  • Beware of copyright infringement when using someone else's picture. You may need to obtain permission to use the photo from the copyright holder unless you are using rights-free imagery (see References).
