How to Erase HP Home Security From a Toolbar

The HP Home Security program offers you web application security that helps you recognize and correct security vulnerabilities in web applications. It is commonly installed on your computer when you install another HP program, and it shows up on your web browser in a toolbar, but you might not need or want it anymore. Luckily, you can erase HP Home Security from a toolbar if you want.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button and then "Control Panel."

2. Click the "Programs" tab and then "Uninstall a Program."

3. Locate the "HP Home Security Toolbar" and click on it to select it. Click the "Uninstall" button to erase it.

Tips & Warnings

• If you simply want to hide the HP Home Security toolbar, click "View" in your web browser, scroll to "Toolbars" and click on "HP Home Security" to remove the check mark next to it.

• You'll have to restart your computer for the removal of the HP Home Security toolbar to be complete.
