How to Check ADSL Broadband Speed

If you're not sure what the upload and download speed of your current ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) broadband Internet service is, you can run a speed test on a website. When you start the speed test, a file that is combined together with a script is loaded by the speed-testing website's server. The script takes a note of when the computer has downloaded a file. It then calculates the Internet connection's ADSL speed. If you find the results unclear, measure them again at different times of the day for a few days. During the test, avoid browsing or downloading anything from the Internet.
