How do I Dial a Phone Number With Words on a Pearl 8100?

The Blackberry Pearl 8100 keypad does not show the letters that correspond to each number.

The buttons of the Blackberry Pearl 8100 do not show the letters that correspond to each numeral, as would normally be seen on a telephone keypad.

Instructions

1. Press the call button.

2. Press the initial numbers, such as "1-800," using the corresponding numeral keys. To dial the first letter on a letter key, hold down the "alt" key and press the letter key. To dial the second letter on the key, hold down the "alt" key and press the letter key twice.

3. Press send to complete the call.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to release the "alt" key before dialing more numbers.
