How to Improve Cable Internet Speed
When you have cable Internet, you will probably enjoy a pretty fast connection. Usually, cable Internet allows you to send email, browse the web, and enjoy everything the Internet has to offer. 1
Contact your cable Internet provider and ask if you have the fastest cable Internet that they offer. They might say that you do not. If you don't, consider upgrading to a faster Internet service. Although it might cost more, it will enable you to get more done and be less frustrated with the process.

Check to be sure that your modem and router are the newest models. Turn them over and look at the serial numbers, then call your Internet service provider and ask if they are the newest. If they aren't, consider upgrading. This may make your cable Internet faster.

3
Contact your cable Internet company and see if they have the most up-to-date equipment associated with your name. If they do not, they can switch equipment. This usually requires some Internet downtime, but your service will be faster when you are finished.

Clean your computer of any files and programs you don't use. Go into Add/remove programs and uninstall things you don't use, especially those things that access the Internet. You can also turn off any programs that access the Internet automatically, like photo programs or chat programs. Don't turn off your antivirus or firewall programs. If you have less programs accessing the Internet, the Internet will run faster for you. Another part of cleaning your computer means deleting temporary Internet files. You can find these in your Internet folders.
