How to Edit & Customize Photos
Having digital cameras these days is a great thing. No more waiting to see if the pictures turned out, and one can instantly send a picture to a friend if so inclined. Another great thing about technology is that people can edit the pictures themselves. No one has to wait for the prints to come back, just to find out half of the people have red eye or the background is too bright or something of the like. Now, almost anyone can edit his/her own pictures with simple computer software, or even with the camera itself.

1
Using a USB cable, scanner, memory card, or the instructions that came with your camera, find the picture you would like to edit. Or, save a picture from your email if someone sent it to you, or you sent it to yourself from a cell phone.
-
2
Open the photo editing software installed on your computer or find an online website like photoshop.com, lunapic.com, or another similar page. A basic web search for photo editing software will bring up many of these sites in the results and you can choose which one best suits your needs. They are all simple sites that have easy-to-use buttons to direct you toward the changes you would like to make, such as auto-correct, black-and-white, or adding borders or backgrounds.

Open your picture within the software or website and begin to learn how the program works, changing the picture to your satisfaction. It is easy to play around, and there are undo and redo arrow buttons to use if you have changed something you didn't intend to or end up not liking.

4
Once you have the photograph how you want it, save it as is to your computer--either replacing the original or re-titling it as a new picture--and you can then print it out or send it or whatever else you may have planned for that photograph.
