Instructions

      Prepare the laptop for disassembly. Turn off the laptop and unplug it from any power source. Remove the battery, devices attached to the laptop and the hard drive according to the owner's manual.

      Remove the switch cover from the laptop according to the HP service and maintenance guide.

      Turn the laptop upside down with the front facing toward you.

      Remove the two PM2.0x8.0 screws that hold the keyboard in place.

      Turn the laptop face up and open the display completely.

      Push back the four tabs at the top of the keyboard with a small, flat screwdriver to release them. The tabs are located above the function keys, "F1" through "Pg up."

      Lift out the keyboard top first and rotate it forward.

      Release the ZIF connector where the keyboard is connected to the laptop and unplug the cable from the system board.
