Internet Explorer (IE) 7 is an older web browser distributed by Microsoft. The browser supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates. If an Internet host server has an invalid certificate or is improperly installed, Internet Explorer 7 displays an error message. You can stop these warning messages from appearing in Internet Explorer 7 by changing the settings in the main IE configuration window.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Internet Explorer 7. Click the "Tools" menu item and then click "Internet Options" to open your IE settings window.

    • 2

Click the "Advanced" tab in the Properties window. In the "Security" section, click the checkbox labeled "Warn about certificate address mismatch" to remove the checkmark.

    • 3

Click "OK" to save your settings. You will no longer receive warning messages about invalid SSL certificates.
