How to Fix a Phishing Filter

The Phishing Filter, a feature included with Windows Vista's Internet Explorer 7, prevents a user from accessing fraudulent websites that attempt to unlawfully collect Internet users' private and financial data. These websites often look identical to that of a trusted website--such as a financial institution's--but the web address differs from the original.

While the Phishing Filter is a useful feature, if you access a web page that uses frames, your web browser may slow to a crawl as a result. To fix this error, download and install the security package 928090 from the Microsoft website.
