Troubleshooting Problems With Sprint Wireless Internet With a USB Device
Sprint offers USB wireless Internet connection options to help increase your productivity while on the go. These devices, which look similar to a standard USB flash drive, are used anywhere with a wireless network, giving you access in almost any location around the country. However, if your Internet connection is not functioning properly, you need to troubleshoot your Internet problems with a few, specific problem-finding steps.

1
Check the USB connection of the Sprint wireless USB. If the device is not completely inserted into the USB port, the computer is unable to connect to the Internet. Additionally, if this does not correct the issue, disconnect the USB device from the current port and plug it into a different USB port. Sometimes USB ports fail and die out, so switching to a different port often corrects the error.

2
Power down the computer and let it sit for a few minutes. This performs a hard reset of the computer, correcting many of the internal issues the system started up with. Power the computer back on and attempt to connect back to the Internet.

3
Install all drivers provided with the Sprint USB device. Although not always needed, the USB drivers inform the computer exactly how to read and handle the Sprint USB device. These drivers are available on a provided CD. Insert the CD and follow the prompts of the installation wizard to complete the setup.
-
4
Enable your wireless Internet connection. If the wireless connection remains disabled, it is impossible for your computer to connect to the Internet. Right-click the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the desktop and choose "Enable" from the pull-up menu.
