How to Install the HP PSC 1401 All-in-One Printer Driver

The HP PSC 1401 all-in-one printer is a combination printer, copier and scanner. The all-in-one printer has a black print speed of 15 pages per minute and a color print speed of 10 pages per minute. It prints and copies photo-quality color and laser-quality black text documents. In addition, the scanner features 600 x 2400 dots-per-inch scanning capabilities. 1. Download the printer driver from HP's website. You can find a link to the download in the "Resources" section of this article. Select your Windows operating system from the drop-down menu and click "Next."

2. Click the link "Driver" and then select the option "Download." Click "Save" and select the option to download to your "Desktop." Click "Save" to initiate the download. Make a note of the folder name so you can easily find it on your desktop.

3. Double-click the folder you downloaded in Step No. 2 on your desktop. Double-click the file in the folder that ends in .exe. Accept the default location to save the files and click "Next." Wait for the Install Wizard window to open.

4. Follow the prompts in the Install Wizard. Select "Full Installation." This will install the driver and allow you to use all the features available on the HP PSC 1401 all-in-one printer.
