How to Make a Hand Made Body Kit

How to Make a Hand Made Body Kit thumbnail
A handmade body kit will soften, scrub and hydrate the skin well.

A well-constructed bath and body kit should contain elements that will soften, smooth and deeply hydrate the skin. Instead of purchasing a pre-made body kit from a department store, which can contain substances that are chemical in nature and damaging to the skin, it is better to create the elements of the body kit yourself using natural materials. To make a body kit by hand, it is important to follow a few steps to ensure that it turns out properly.

Create a skin softener. Pour the baking soda into a bowl. Mix in the citric acid, lavender essential oil and rose essential oil into the baking soda. Use your hands to combine the substances well. Pour the mixture into a plastic bag, and seal it tightly. Place the bag in the center of a sheet of tissue paper. Gather the tissue paper up around the center, and tie a piece of raffia around it. Place the skin soak into the body kit basket.

Create a body scrub. Pour the raw sugar into a bowl. Add in the orange peel, rose hip oil, lavender essential oil and rose essential oil. Mix the substances together well using a spoon. Pour the mixture into a glass jar, and screw on the lid. Tie a piece of raffia around the jar. Place the body scrub into the body kit basket.

Create a skin hydrator. Place the beeswax into an empty coffee can, and place it into the top of a double boiler. Fill the bottom of the double boiler two-thirds full of water. Heat the water until the wax melts completely. Pour the olive oil and the jojoba oil into a pot, and heat it until it starts to bubble. Pour the wax and the oils into a blender. Add in the aloe vera gel, lavender essential oil and rose essential oil. Blend the mixture on high for five minutes. Pour the mixture into a glass jar, and allow it to cool. Screw the cap onto the cooled moisturizer. Tie a piece of raffia around the jar, and place it into the body kit basket.
