How to Convert an CSV to an IPD

CSV, or Comma-Separated values, are simple text files that uses commas to delimit data. CSV files are common in computerized address books. CSVs, generally, are hugely compatible across multiple platforms and multiple applications. The Interactive Pager Backup (IPD) is the user storage backup file type for BlackBerry Smartphones. IPD files can contain messages or configurations but are also used to store the phone's address book. Entering CSV details manually into BlackBerry's address book would be a lengthy process. To convert a CSV for use as an IPD for BlackBerry, you have to first import the CSV into software that BlackBerry recognizes, and then sync the two together.
