How to Change the Orkut User Name
Orkut is a social-networking website powered by Google. Your Orkut user name is linked to your Google account. The user name you use to sign in is the same as the email address you originally linked to your account during the sign up stage. You can change your Orkut user name at any time. According to Google, Orkut users using a Gmail email account cannot change their Orkut user name.

Create a new email address, or choose the email address that you want to set as your Orkut user name. You can choose any email provider.

Sign in to your Google account (see "Resources" section for link) and click on "Change Email" from your home screen.
You can also sign in to your Orkut account then click "Settings," "General" and "Google Account Settings." From the Google screen, select "Change Email."

Type the new email address that you chose. You can also choose a new password here if you'd like. Click on "Save Email Address" to change your Orkut user name.

Sign in to your Orkut account using your new user name to make sure the procedure was successful. Use your old password unless you updated your password on the account management screen.
