You should clean a Kyocera printer after every ink cartridge change. This will keep your prints clear and will also help to extend the life of the printer itself. Each printer model will have its own requirements for proper cleaning that should be referred to, but there are several steps that apply to all Kyocera printers. Use proper caution when cleaning your printer so you do not damage any of the internal parts.

Step 2

Remove the drum if applicable. Do not expose it to light for more than five minutes as this will damage it.This will give you access to the paper transfer unit. Gently wipe this clean with your cloth.

Step 3

Kyocera printers have a green cleaning knob. Gently pull this out two or three times. This will clean the charger inside the printer. Return the knob to the home position when done.
