The Palm handheld is great way to carry around information ' including pictures. You can use it to view maps of cities you're going to visit, a map of a complex subway system, or photographs of your friends and loved ones. To do this, you need to use a third-party program.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Download the third-party program, Image Viewer from HexCode Software.
Step2
If you are using a Windows desktop computer, you'll also want to download the Windows image converter that comes with Image Viewer. If you are using a Macintosh, you'll need to download Graphic Converter from Lemke Software.
Step3
Choose the graphic files you want to convert. This could be a photograph, or a screen shot of a map. Run the converter program for your platform.
Step4
Install ImageViewer on your Palm.
Step5
Install any images you've converted on your Palm. You should now be able to view the images on your Palm and convert other images to be viewed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pay the shareware fee for Image Viewer to avoid the 10 second wait to preview.

on 11/22/2005 You can also use a product called PocketPhoto. It's not shareware, but it's easier to use, and you get everything you need to make an album and load photos on your Palm device.
