How to Program a Sony RM-YD010 Remote to My Motorola Dual DVR

Many cable companies that use a Motorola Dual DVR receiver as both the cable receiver and the recording hard drive. The Motorola device does come with its own remote control; however, you may not like the idea of switching between several remotes at the same time. Because of this, you may want to program the connected television's (such as a Sony RM-YD101) remote to control the Motorola Dual DVR receiver.

Things You'll Need

• Motorola Dual DVR receiver
• RM remote control

Instructions

1. Power on the Motorola Dual DVR receiver.

2. Hold down the "S" button on the remote control. Push the "Power" button (continue holding down the "S" button).

3. Stop holding down the "S" button, then push "Cable."

4. Type in "015" and press "Ent." Push the "Power" button one more time, and the Motorola Dual DVR receiver powers down.
