      Obtain a lottery ticket from a retailer in your area. There are more than 5500 retailers in North Carolina that carry Cash 5 tickets. Look for the "Play Here" sticker on a retailer's window or door.

      Choose five numbers, ranging from one to 39, to play, or have the computer choose a "quick pick," which is a randomly selected combination of numbers. You can select up to five sets of numbers per ticket, with each play costing one dollar.

      Select "Multi-Draw" to use your chosen numbers for up to 28 days in a row.

      Take the ticket with your printed numbers from the retailer. Sign your name on the back of the slip and watch Carolina Cash 5 to see if you've won. If two to five of your numbers match the lottery numbers, you've won money, and you have 90 days to claim it.

      Claim your prize of $600 or less at any retailer that sells the tickets. Prizes over $600 but under $100,000 must be claimed by filling out a form and mailing it to:
