How to Use Motorola Phone Tools With an IC902

Like nearly all other phones offered by Motorola, the IC902 smart phone is compatible with the popular Motorola Phone Tools program. This program allows you to create and transfer audio, video and image files, sync and backup your phone and create custom ringtones. You can purchase Motorola Phone Tools directly from Motorola and can have your phone up and working with the program, in just minutes.

Instructions

1. Download and install the Motorola Phone Tools program on your computer by inserting the disc into your computer and following the download prompts.

2. Connect your IC902 phone to your computer using the Motorola Phone Tools USB cable and allow the program to load automatically onto your desktop.

3. Click either "Pictures," "Audio Files," "Video Files" or "All Files" under the program's "Transfer" menu to add files to your phone.

4. Click the drop-down menu under "Mobile Phone" to select a song from your computer and click "Transfer to Phone" to send the file. Click "Transfer to Computer" to reverse the process.

5. Click "Melody Editor" under the "Customize" menu, to create a ringtone for your device.

6. Use the "Melody Files" drop-down to select a song from your computer. Use the arrow and play button in the "Selection" window to create the ringtone.

7. Click the green check-mark, enter a name for your ringtone and click "Transfer to Phone" once you have selected your desired ringtone.

8. Click "Backup my Phone" on the program's homepage to save files to your computer and send files from your computer back to your phone. Click either "Backup" or "Restore" on the next page to have the files transferred or saved immediately.
