Instructions

  1. Choosing your hoodie design

    • 1

Shop around for designs that you like.
If you go to the mall and browse the stores or you log on and examine the various different hoodies that web sites have for sale, you're bound to get some ideas for your own, unique design.

    • 2

Sketch out some basic designs. Don't tie yourself down to one design yet, and feel free to get as creative as you want. This is a brainstorming session. If you have an idea, map it out and see what comes of it. If you have the skill, illustrate your ideas on a computer program as well.

    • 3

Narrow down your ideas. You may have 15 or 20 initial ideas for a hoodie, but focus on what you want most. Pick your logo, your fit (loose, tight, etc.), where you want your pockets and whether or not you want your hoodie to have a zipper up the front.

    • 4

Take your measurements. The length of your arms, width of your chest, and the length of your torso are all important things to know if you want your hoodie to not only be a custom design but a custom fit.

    • 5

Jot your measurements on your final hoodie design. At this point you have a workable blueprint for the final garment. If you have the skill you can easily make it yourself, but if not then you'll need to find a tailor or seamstress to work with in order to make your design a reality.
