The HP Pavilion Dv6000 is a laptop computer that was produced by the Hewlett Packard Corporation in 2006. It was described by the company as an "entertainment notebook PC." The computer runs on an AMD processor and a vibrant display and leading graphics technology. An integrated webcam is available on the computer, but some users have had difficulty finding out how to launch it, as they cannot see an icon or shortcut on which to click. The trick is to make sure that the webcam is enabled in the operating system.

      Click on the Start button on your Windows desktop . Type "Device Manager" into the Search text box that appears, and click on "OK."

      Click on the plus (+) symbol that is next to the words "Imaging Devices."

      Scroll down and find the webcam item in the device list.

      Right-click on the icon for the "HP Webcam 1000" and click on "Enable." The webcam icon will now display on the Windows Desktop.

      Go to the Windows Desktop and double-click on the webcam icon to launch it.
