Man Using iPod

When one wishes to listen to music through an iPod, the only way to do so, is to use the iTunes-based operating software the iPod runs on. An iPod may also by used as an external hard drive, however. A variety of files can be saved in the iPod, but they are not accessible when the iPod is in audio mode, nor can audio files simply saved to the iPod's hard drive be accessed in this mode.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the iPod to the computer.

    • 2

Locate the folder in which FrostWire files are saved. Typically following this filepath works: My Computer > C: Drive > Program Files > FrostWire > Downloads.

    • 3

Locate, on the desktop, the iPod icon. Opening this icon shortcut allows the user to access the iPod's hard drive in a way that iTunes cannot. It will open the actual hard drive portion itself, and make its file storage feature available.

    • 4

Drag the desired FrostWire files or folders from the FrostWire download file to the iPod's hard drive folder. The files will now be copied onto the iPod's hard drive. The will not be accessible in audio mode, but they will be stored, and can be transferred to other computers or storage devices.
