How to Lace Two Color DC Skate Shoes
DC is a popular shoe company that sells sneakers used for skateboarding and other activities. Shoelaces are important to the structure and the form of the sneaker. You can lace your DC skate shoes with two sets of laces in different colors to create a custom design. A checkerboard pattern works for DC skate shoes because of the shoes' wide front.

1
Choose two sets of different-colored shoelaces. Wide, flat shoelaces work well with DC skate shoes.
-
2
Use one color of the shoelaces to create the straight lacing method. With straight lacing, the lace runs across the top (toward the toe) of the skate shoe. One end of the lace goes under the top of the shoe (where the laces are usually placed) and enters the eyelet at the tongue of the shoe. The other end of the lace runs through the eyelet on the top right side, then goes straight across to the next eyelet. Continue this until that end of the lace reaches the shoe's tongue.

Weave the second-colored shoelace in and out of the first lace, beginning at the top of the shoe and ending at the tongue. Fold over the lace and continue weaving it in and out until you reach the top.

4
Continue to weave the laces until you see the checkerboard pattern across the top of the shoe. When you are done, tuck in the excess laces.
