How to Convert YouTube Videos Into MP4

Convert YouTube videos to MP4 files.

Videos that have been uploaded onto the YouTube website can be viewed using many different Web browsers. These videos cannot be watched if your computer is not accessing an Internet connection. One way you can get around this is to download the YouTube video onto your computer. Downloading the YouTube video as an MP4 file will give you the ability to open that video using the Apple program iTunes. The MP4 file can also be transferred onto a Video iPod.

Instructions

Media Converter

1. Highlight the YouTube URL you wish to convert to MP4 and click "Edit" at the top of your Web browser. Select "Copy" and the URL will be copied.

2. Go to the Media Converter website and click on the "enter a link" option located on the left portion of the website.

3. Paste the YouTube URL inside the blank text box by pressing the "Ctrl" and "V" button that's on your keyboard. Click "OK."

4. Click "go to the next step." A drop box will become visible.

5. Choose "MP4" inside the drop box. Click the "OK" and then "Start" buttons. A link for the MP4 will be found at the bottom of the page.

6. Click the download link to save the MP4 file.

Zamzar

1. Copy the YouTube URL (described in Section 1) and then go to the Zamzar homepage.

2. Paste the URL inside of the drop box on the left part of the page.

3. Click the drop box in the center of the page. Highlight the "MP4" option.

4. Type an email address inside the "email" text box on the page. Click "Convert." The YouTube video will be converted to MP4 format. When the video has been converted, the email address you entered will receive a message from Zamzar.

5. Open the email sent from Zamzar. Click the download link that's located inside that email. A new Web page will be opened. Click the "Download" tab on the new page to save the MP4 on your computer.

Save Vid

1. Copy the YouTube URL and then go to the Save Vid homepage.

2. Paste the URL inside the "URL" text box.

3. Click "Download." The YouTube video will be converted.

4. Click the "Download MP4" option underneath the text box.

5. Click the "Click here to start download" link to save the MP4 file on your computer.
