How to Import Microsoft Outlook Contacts to a Motorola Droid
The Motorola Droid is an extraordinary smartphone geared to keep you on top of your personal and professional communication obligations. Setting up your Droid takes very little time, and is well worth the time spent in the end to have you up and running. This includes importing your Outlook Contacts all at once, so you don't have to enter each one manually.

Open your Microsoft Outlook program.

Select "File," and then "Import and Export."

Click on "Export to a file" and click "Next."

Choose "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click "Next."

Click on "Contacts" and select "Next."

Choose a place to download your contacts file that you can easily remember. Once you have designated the folder, select "Next."

Check the box next to "Export 'Contacts' from folder: Contacts" and click "Finish."

Open your Gmail account from your Web browser.

Click on the "Contacts" tab on the left side of the screen.

Select the "Import" link.

Navigate to the folder you saved your Outlook Contacts file from Step 6 and click "Import" to sync your Outlook contacts with your Gmail account. This will in-turn sync with the contacts on your Motorola Droid.

Tips & Warnings
The steps above are geared more toward a personal Outlook Contact list. If you would like to sync your corporate Outlook account with your Droid, contact your company's IT department and get your Outlook's domain name, security type and URL address. Go to "Menu," "Settings," "Accounts & Sync," "Add Account," "Corporate." Enter your user name, password and IT settings. Click "Next" and select your Outlook features to sync: email, contacts and calendar. Click "Save & Sync."
