How to Access Time Warner Voice Mail

Time Warner Cable provides customers with digital phone service for a monthly fee. Unlike standard landline phone services, Time Warner phones use Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP), and thus require an active Internet connection to function. Voice mail is an optional feature and must be added to Time Warner's basic digital phone service.

      Activate the voice mail feature with Time Warner Cable. Call your local Time Warner Cable customer service hotline and ask to have the voice mail feature added to your digital phone service.

      Set up voice mail. First dial your phone number from your Time Warner line. Once prompted, enter your PIN number (the last four digits of your phone number) and press the pound key (#). Enter a new personalized PIN number and state your name when prompted. Press "1" on your phone. Record a voice mail message and press the "1" key upon finishing, to save it. This completes the set up of your voice mail.

      Access your voice mail messages by dialing your home phone number. If you are using a different phone line to access your voice mail, you will be required to enter your PIN. The voice mail service will answer and will tell you how many messages you have. Press the "1" key to listen to your messages.
