How to Embed Fonts in Scribus
Embed fonts in PDF files exported from Scribus to help ensure that your completed file prints correctly. Embedding the entire font, as opposed to only a subset of the font, will limit the number of possible errors in font translations when the PDF file is viewed. Outline the fonts in your Scribus document, instead of embedding the fonts, to guarantee true reproduction of your finished document.

Tips & Warnings
Outline all of the fonts in your document to prevent any font translation errors from occurring when you send your file to be printed. Outlining fonts in a document removes the font information and eliminates the need to embed the font in the PDF file.
Since outlined fonts cannot be edited in a PDF, the text cannot be altered once the PDF file has been created.
