How to Make Internet Explorer Open in a Full Size Window

Microsoft Internet Explorer is the default browser shipped with all Windows systems and is the go-to browser for users who are new to computers. Web browsers are faced with the task of handling pop-up ads and entirely new windows. The abundance of these different-sized windows used with a Web browser can affect how the browser opens the next time it is run. Many times, this is why Internet Explorer doesn't open in a full-sized window every time. Setting Internet Explorer to open in a full-sized window is a simple process.

Instructions

1. Open Internet Explorer. Make sure only one window is open and that there are no hidden pop-ups.

2. Enlarge the Internet Explorer window to full screen without using the maximize button. You can do so by clicking and dragging at each corner until Internet Explorer is filling your entire screen.

3. Press and hold the "Ctrl" key and click "File" followed by "Exit." Do not exit by clicking on the "X" button.

4. Open Internet Explorer again to test your results. If it doesn't work, repeat the steps using the "SHIFT" button instead of the "Ctrl" button.
