How to Program a Honda Goldwing Remote
Honda's mighty Goldwing motorcycle has become one of the leading luxury touring motorcycles in the world, offering a high level of comfort and a host of amenities to make long-distance riding a joy. The Goldwing's large rear storage compartment offers more convenience through a special remote control that opens the compartment for you. These remote transmitters, however, are often lost or damaged over time and must be replaced. Luckily, programming a new remote transmitter is a very simple process.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

Point the new remote transmitter at the storage trunk and press the "Open" button until the indicator on the transmitter illuminates. This must be completed within four seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Within a four-second period, press the "Open" button on the new remote transmitter. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position and press the "Open" button on the original remote transmitter within four seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position again and press the "Open" button on the original remote transmitter within four seconds. Leave the ignition switch in the "ON" position.

Press the "Open" button on the remote transmitters that you wish to use; do this within a 15-second window. Once you have pressed the "Open" button on the remote transmitters, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position. Your remote transmitters are now programmed.

Complete the process using only the new remote transmitter if you are replacing a lost or damaged remote transmitter.
